Bullying in School

  • A bully is someone who is rude to someone in an emotional and psychical way.
  • Birdville Independent School District hardly has any bullying going on and when it does it is taken care of right away.
  • I personally have not been a victim of bullying which proves that BISD hardly has bullying, for I was in the BISD for most of my life.
  • When someone bullies another kid, I believe you should contact both parents and discuss what is going on, and get to the bottom of it.
  • In my own classroom I will have no tolerance for bullying, some kids commit suicide because they can't take someone who bullies them. I will like for everyone to treat people the way they would want to be treated.

My Involvement in TAFE!

My participation in TAFE this year was going to the Peer to Peer Education Training. I had the honor in being with the group that involved kids getting into shape! I was pleased that I got put into this group, because I am all for kids whipping into shape and staying healthy. Every kid should play at least 60 minutes a day. If I could have done anything different last year I would have gone to TAFE region and have seen what it was like there. I would have liked to be more involved in TAFE & FCCLA activities. The most rewarding experience has been getting to meet new people and making connections and learning new things! Next year I plan on participating in more activities and just being more involved than I was this year.

Who is Stacey Bess?

Stacy Bess became a teacher in her adult hood. She first taught kids in a small shed behind the community homeless center.  The name of her book is Nobody Don't Love Nobody, she also has a movie that is based off of the book. It is called "Beyond the Blackboard." As a young adult reading her story, I do not know if I could or couldn't handle what she went through with the children she taught. I would like to think I can take on something like that, but I am sure that requires a lot of patience and hope.
